High Court writ enforcement: key facts
An authorised High Court Enforcement Officer may enforce specified High Court writs, commonly through enforcement agents acting under authority. An application about the judgment does not itself stay enforcement.
For instructions received from 1 May 2026, the fixed fees are £79, £200, £520 and £550 at the prescribed stages, with 7.5% above £1,200 where applicable. Transitional rules may preserve the earlier scale.
Entry, goods, third-party rights, vulnerability, stays, fee assessment and complaints have distinct rules. Preserve notices, authority, recordings, valuations and receipts and use the remedy suited to the issue.
