Bailiffs attending for someone who does not live at your address
You are not personally liable merely because an agent attends for another person's debt. The agent may make proportionate enquiries but may generally control only the debtor's relevant interest in goods.
Tell the company in writing and provide proportionate current-address evidence with unnecessary financial information redacted. Keep copies and record attendance safely.
If your goods are controlled, provide ownership evidence and consider CPR Part 85. Use 999 only for violence, immediate danger or a crime in progress.
