Bailiff enforcement where the debtor is in prison

Imprisonment does not extinguish a debt, judgment, fine or every enforcement power. Notify the creditor, court and company promptly.

Provide custody and correspondence details where appropriate and explain any vulnerability. Ask for review, accessible communication and the available payment or court process.

Only the debtor's relevant interest in goods may generally be controlled. Occupants should preserve ownership evidence and use the proper third-party procedure if their goods are affected.
