Object clearly if you do not consent to filming inside your home, children or private material. Do not use force. Record the production company, programme, people, cameras and what was said.

Filming and broadcast can engage privacy, data-protection and media-law rights. Destruction is not automatic; write promptly requesting preservation, restricted use and a response before publication.

If broadcast is imminent, obtain specialist media-law advice. An injunction requires a strong basis and can carry costs and an undertaking in damages.
